Job Duties and Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

• Electrical and electro-mechanical drafting and design.
• Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or manual tools.
• Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes and discussions with engineers, and standard data.
• Completes layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices or may develop complete major layouts of engineering drawings.
• Within parameters determines scaling required; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Reviews rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from electrical design and mechanical engineers.
• Computes and represents characteristics and dimensions of mechanical parts and enclosures.
• Responsible for alterations of red lines and original drawings.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate design and drawing package archives.
• Responsible for maintaining revision history and current drawing packages.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associates or equivalent technical school diploma or military certification and experience and additional specialized training in specific aspects of job function and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Significant expertise, background, and demonstrated skills and abilities in mechanical, civil, and electrical drafting using AutoCAD2000 or higher. Ability to convert drawings to different industry standard formats (e.g. from Micro Station to AutoCAD).
• Ability to review, annotate, and/or produce pertinent project documents as directed by Senior Level Engineers.
• 3-5 Years of electro/mechanical drafting and design.
• Skilled in the use of PCs.
