Key Specifications
Key Features
- Real-Time State of Charge (SOC) Monitoring
A microprocessor continuously measures key battery parameters and calculates State of Charge, reporting data over the communication interface for mission power assurance.
- Mission-Critical BMS Design
Battery Management System built for mission-critical applications — designed as a direct replacement for older simple batteries without requiring new chargers.
- Three Capacity Configurations
Available in 7.5 Ah, 3.2 Ah, and 0.74 Ah variants to cover a range of avionics energy budget requirements.
- Flight Mode Protection
The 7.5 Ah battery supports an optional Flight Mode feature that prevents the BMS from cutting battery output in the event of a detected fault during flight — ensuring mission power continuity.
- Auto-Charge Option
Optional auto-charge feature enables batteries to begin charging automatically when the appropriate charging voltage is detected, simplifying pre-launch battery maintenance.
- Configurable Communication Interface
Each battery can be configured for RS-422 or Ethernet communication, accommodating diverse avionics bus architectures.
Typical Applications
- Launch Vehicle Avionics Power
Primary onboard power source for rocket avionics during internal power phase from umbilical pull through flight.
- FTS Power
Dedicated power supply for Flight Termination System payloads requiring a high-reliability, isolated 28V source.
- Initiator System Power
Provides redundant power for Capacitive Discharge Initiators (CDI) and Solid State Initiators (SSI) in mission-critical firing architectures.
- Payload Power
Supplies regulated high-density power to spacecraft payloads requiring compact, lightweight battery solutions.
Available Configurations
7.5 Ah, 7.5 lbs, 7″ x 5″ x 4″. Supports optional Flight Mode and Auto-Charge features.
3.2 Ah, 3.4 lbs, 6.8″ x 2.2″ x 3.5″. Supports Auto-Charge.
0.74 Ah, 1.0 lb, 3.3″ x 2.6″ x 2.3″. Compact variant for low-power avionics.
